Banana Cake With Cake Mix. Spread the batter evenly in the pan. Reduce the mixer speed to low and pour the melted butter.

Using a whisk, mix until combined. Combine cake mix, oil, eggs and water. Garnish with remaining whole vanilla wafers and, if desired, sliced bananas.

Stir to blend, try to keep mixture off the sides of the pan.

Place one cake layer on a serving plate.

In a separate bowl, mash bananas until liquid and homogenous. Add milk, eggs, oil and bananas to the mixing bowl. Once the mixture begins to boil, reduce the heat to low.
