Magic Circle In Crochet
Magic Circle In Crochet. Both of these methods are good for starting a crochet project or crochet pattern in the round, but do have some differences, which I'll explain below in detail. Join me in this bonus video for all those that are beginners to crochet or if you want to brush up on your magic circle skills!
Open your fingers back up and place the yarn between your middle and ring finger, then close your three fingers again to hold the tail end in place. I've spent an hour just making a single chain up and get entirely lost when it comes to the chains that follow. Second, you can create a Magic Circle (sometimes called a Magic Loop or an Adjustable Ring).
A crochet project that is worked in the round can be started in either of two ways.
There is a lot of different ways of doing this technique but this is my favorite.
This tutorial shows how to start a magic circle with single crochet stitches, so this first turning chain only needs one chain stitch. At the end of the round of single crochet stitches, pull on the yarn end to gather the hole closed, and continue with your pattern. Hold the circle with one hand, with the other hand pull the end of the yarn as tight as possible, it should slide right out and easily.
