Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts, if using.
Add eggs in one at a time and beat after each addition. In a large bowl, beat together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy with a stand up mixer or hand held mixer. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl.
In a separate bowl, mix the salt and flour together.
In a large bowl, using a hand mixer, beat butter. With a hand mixer on medium speed, combine butter, brown and white sugar, and vanilla. Now to the butter mixture, add the baking soda mixture alternately with the flour and salt mixture.
