Pineapple Upside Down Cake
Pineapple Upside Down Cake. On my way to a Hawaiian-themed party, all I could think of was Pineapple Upside Down Cake. This helps solidify or "set" the topping's arrangement.
Use a pastry brush to brush the sides of the pie. In a small bowl, beat egg whites on high speed until stiff peaks form; fold into batter. Add the brown sugar and stir well to thoroughly combine, then turn off the heat.
Tilt the pan to spread the butter edge-to-edge.
On high speed, beat in the egg whites until incorporated.
Combine sugar, corn syrup, and water in a medium saucepan. On my way to a Hawaiian-themed party, all I could think of was Pineapple Upside Down Cake. Mix in the rest of the milk, followed by the rest of the flour, until just combined.
