Add Title To Excel Chart. Select the arrow next to Chart Title. From Axis Title options choose the desired axis title position: Primary Horizontal or Primary Vertical.

If you're using Excel on Windows, you can also use the Chart Elements icon on the right of the chart. Once the chart name area is highlighted, you can type in the name of the chart. If you select 'Chart Title', you'll notice that a text box for the title has been added in the chart area.
